The After School Club was the first After School Club to be established on the coastal strip (September 1996).

It was originally funded through the Sussex Enterprise, OSCI, Out of School Initiative and later expanded by the New Opportunities Lottery Fund. It is based in a community setting near East Side Recreational Ground and the beach. Children and young people are transported by taxi accompanied by playworkers to the setting from schools based in local areas, Telscombe through to Denton. This setting enables children and young people to relax in a non educational and unique environment.  Currently the Club opens from 3pm term time and closes at 6pm.
